Hi to all from Australia,Just looking for any help and found you site , good to find info and not get ripped off . We have a 1997 explorer from new only 90,000ks , i changed from 4x4 to auto made noise and lost 1st gear, so wont pull away in drive, pulls away in second and once on move back to drive and all normal, over drive etc work but when slowing at walking pace lose drive and have to go back to second gear to again pull away, question is what do you recon as this car has had an easy life and, repairers here give an idea it is going to be a complete overhaul without looking and cost a fortune ,we are still driving about and all seems ok . Question is what do you recon!!
