hi, Im new to the forum, however Im going to be getting an early (91-94) model explorer within the next month or two thanks to my dad backing into my car a couple weeks ago. anyways, I was wondering about Rick Horwitz's orange explorer that was made to look like a 95+ explorer with the new front section. one, how much does the modification cost, and two can you put a normal bumper onto the front section b/c I wont be using it for heavy offroading or anything, I would just rather it looked like the newer explorers. thanks

i think the kit costs $600, and it includes everything but the headlights and turn signals.

try a search for perrys fab kit

I checked the website, I even emailed them a few days ago, but they didnt respond. but if its only 600, thats really good, why dont more ppl do the mod?

people can think of better ways to spend $600 bucks...like tires or winch bumper or nitrous kit or rims.....

personally, i would rather have fiberglass. it's lighter. lots of cars are made with fiberglass. and it will never rust.

painting is expensive

some people like the look of the rugged boxy 91-94 instead of the rounded, city SUV 95+ look. Just depends on your taste.
