my 94 has been driving me nuts it has a list of problems it has been smelling like gas from the engine bay so i replaced the canaster no change it has also been loosing power when it's warmed up . also when i drive off road it's overheating dumping tranny fluid from the vent or front seal, boiling in the coolent recovery tank and building alot of pressure in the gas tank you can hear it bubbling and hissing til you take the cap off any ideas

almost ready to go jeep

IMO, the cannister itself rarely fails. Have you inspected the rest of the EVAP system -- cannister purge solenoid? tubing for kinks/breaks/clogs?

it has also been loosing power when it's warmed up
without further information, I'd start with some basic diagnostics -- pull codes, check fuel pressure, check vaccuum, etc. Does it seem to be related to the overheating issue?

off road -- especially at slow speeds -- is when you will find problems with the cooling system. Check coolant level first. Make sure the radiator and condenser are clean on the outside so that air can flow through. Check the fan clutch (especially if the problem only shows up at low speeds). If it hasn't been done in a long time, you might consider flushing the cooling system.

This is a symptom of a clogged EVAP system, like the gasoline odor under the hood.

i flushed the cooling system changed cap on the radiator and the thermostat the only codes it is showing is egr when it dumps fluid it is all of a sudden it's cool then a sudden spike thank you for your reply
