have anyone been through this before? what can be the problem and solution?

Did you buy your truck new? sounds like suspension damage.

Springs could not be in right. Could have been damaged during transit to your dealership and then not disclosed or repaired. I would take it to another ford dealership and have them take a look at it and see what they think. Could def be a safety concern.

I have an 08 Explorer as well and it has the same 1 inch leaning issue you're referring to. I dont think you need to worry though. I think it comes out of the factory like that.

If you look underneath you will notice that the fuel tank is located on the passenger side. So when you've filled 'er up I think you will find that your driver side lean will disappear. Next time you fill up take some measurements.

As far as your steering is concerned, I think you might have an alignment issue. Get your alignment checked before jumping to any conclusions.

Good luck mate.

I'm bringing this necro-post back, because I am not convinced.

Just noticed my 08 EB is leaning a little lower on the driver side. Tank (on pass side) is 3/4 full. I measured from the frame to the ground in a few places and it all equals out. What can I be looking for in terms of springs, or other things.

I just find it hard to accept that my car came from the factory "leaning". I am the second owner, and recently had the front differential rebuilt, any chance something was tweaked or messed up that could cause a lean? Work was done by a Ford dealership. Not saying they are incompetent in any way, but I must examine all options.
