I want to get a good manual that will go over the maintanance as well as repair.

Will do. He replied to my e-mail and it does contain info on maintainence items and troubleshooting. $40 is a bit steep though.

well from other members on the board, I have only heard raving reviews about the DVD manuals. I want to get one for myself and am just waiting for one for a '98 to pop up on ebay.

...I have a 1996 Explorer 5.0 v8. I have been looking at Helm Inc and Ebay for a service manual or cd/dvd. I have been wondering the same thing. Any suggestions out there on who you would order from on Ebay?
