Ok so when I drive my explorer any given distance it will steam real bad web I stop. I though it was my gasket for the thermostat but it wasnt and I was recommended to replace the water pump and that didn't fix it. There is nothing in the oil and there's no smoke coming from the exhaust so idk what it is. Anyone else know. It's going through antifreeze like a mother and can't see where's it's coming from and it doesn't leak on the ground, just steam?

Rent a fully refundable coolant system pressure test kit from most auto parts stores.
Guaranteed way to find your leak without wasting time and money. Call around. GL

The radiator on my 96 Explorer was plastic on both ends with a rubber seal which failed.

OK, is it SMOKE, or is it STEAM? Two very different things you have said. You say it uses a lot of coolant, but no sign of a leak. Well that should tell you something, it is going through the combustion process. You most likely have a blown head gasket, or cracked head, or cracked block. The only to know for sure, is to tear it down. And don't just do one side, do both sides. How muchanti freeze did you have in it? Would it hold the freeze point toabout -35? Is the engine running rough, especially at idle?

Rent the coolant system pressure testing kit. You'll find your problem quickly without too much trouble if you are leaking as much coolant as it sounds. O'Reilly's here rents it out with a full refund if you return it within 48 hours.

Yeah imma rent that system. And it's steam not smoke I am srry. The motor runs fine, no rough idle or nothing. Heat works great and the car doesn't show. I signs of over heating

I swear by this stuff, it works great. It works in ethylene glycol coolant too.
