When I turn my fan on, it blows white smoke that smells like pancake syrup. I think the smell is burning coolant, but why is it coming through my vents? I have checked under my hood and I find no signs of leaks. Thanks in advance.
Sounds like your heater core has a hole in it. I'm not sure how hard this is to do on the Explorer, but on my 2 previous cars (Mustang and Escort), it was fairly easy.
Funny how they always go at the same time. the Mustang's went first and then a month later I was doing the same thing to the Escort!
