2000 Explorer Sport
I currently have a 2000 Explorer sport. Currently I've been having a problem with my car. It seem there is a loud humming nose coming from under the hood when I have my heater on or i'm sitting at a red light. As soon as I hit the gas it goes away. One day while it was doing this I poped the hood and noticed the Air Filter was vibrating violently. Can someone please help me out here with some advice on what may be wrong. It is getting worse and I stalled on my way to work while it was making this nose. It just humms and the RPMS dropped and I stalled I don't know what is the problem I just hit the gas and it stops.......

Is it coming from your throttle body area more specifically the IAC? We all just love when our IAC starts to hum. If only we can get it to hum a song for us..

I'm sorry.. I don't know much about my cars engine. What I can tell you is its coming from the Air Filter area. I thought maybe it was my belt causing my air filter to hum and vibrate. I don't know whats wrong. I took it to the FORD dealer and it wouldn't make the noise its a load noise so you know it when you hear it.....I'm frustrated and want to get this problem corrcted.....
