Does anyone know how much they cost, or possible how much OEM? I've looked around on the internet and the price ranges from $160 (DIY install), to $350 parts+install. I haven't called locally yet, but was just wondering the general price range. Last night at 11pm I got a ticket for expired inspection sticker (because I can't get one due to current windshield), so my new years started with a bang :(

Thanks for any input.

I had a windsheild installed last year for 220 for everything I thought that was pretty cheap:D

I just had SafeLite do mine ('94 XLT) for $244, and they came to me and had it done in 20 minutes. That was $100 cheaper than if I went through my insurance company as insurance quoted me $354. As my deductible is $250, I still came out ahead and didn't have to file a claim.

i had a new one installed, while my truck was in for accident damage (unrelated) - i had it done cuz of some rock chips that were pissing me off. when my friend who owns the shop looked up the price in the parts book, i think it was something along the lines of $210 for a real ford oem windshield. i ended up paying, i think, about $65, after he had his glass guy take care of it :) i guess thats just one of the perks of being a family friend of a guy who owns a good body shop (having a mom and sister who drive like sh*t and give him a lot of business helps too ;) )

DO NOT use the DIY install, nonononono!

Windshield installation is a very precise procedure, you don't want to do it yourself. Actually very few car dealers or bodyshops tackle it themselves.

PPG Prostars is about the best. I'd say $300 is a good deal.

i agree completely. i know people that have windshields that leak because they had the wrong people do it (well, these people are idiots and i cant stand them, but never the less, the windshield still leaks.) make sure you have a well repsected place install it for you.
