A radiator made of the same material all throughout, whether that is copper, aluminum or whatever, will be stronger and more durable than one with crimped on end tanks.
I'm not really sure what K Seal is, but I can guess and it's probably not the best for long term health of your cooling system. Regardless, there must be a place up there that will replace the end tanks on that rad core. You could even just obtain a new replacement from the US and have it shipped to a border town where you can broker it across yourself. When I lived in Vancouver I would ship stuff to Pt. Roberts all the time.
