I dont know the difference between those two brands, but if they say does not work with ABS it is likely something to do with the fitment on the truck? You can call and ask.

There are other options, including having custom lines made by a local shop.
I like the Superlift 4" rubber brake lines, they are closest to stock and they fit well/work good and they are like $60?
.

I have a superlift lift but use skyjacker extended brake lines. I don't thing the fittings are compatable on the superlift lines.

Fittings are compatible with WHAT? The RABS system on the Explorer? Its still a hard line run to the coil bucket, correct? The RABS truck uses a different size line?

Not sure what is the exact difference. Just know the skyjackers is what I've been using. I believe the compression fittings are a different thread or size?

Well, the only line that should have the focus is the rear brake line. The front lines aren't ABS while the rear is (one line). So buying superlift lines for the front and skyjacker for the rear is o.k. I'm assuming

On 93 and 94 first gens the front had abs. It looks like i will just use the same as Vibes did.

Positve Vibes- How many lines did the Skyjacker lines come with?

How many inch's are they extended Brian?

Two.

Thanks Brian, I order some skyjacker ones today from Desert Rat.

I think lift manufacturers don't want to label anything as usable on an ABS system. Liability....

Just wondering, But why would that be a liability?

If the vehicle was in an accident and it was determined that the ABS system was affected by the lift, then there's always a chance of the manufacturer being sued & that kind of thing can get really ugly.

Oh i see. Thanks

No problemo.

I checked out Skyjacker Brake lines @ Summit Racing and they indicate the Brake lines are NOT ABS compatible... So I think prerunnersvo is correct and it must be some liabillity issue. It can't be a fitment issue since the lines & hoses are standard...

I just ordered the skyjacker ones. They will be here tuesday.

First off, not all 1st gens were RABS only. I have a 93 with 4 wheel ABS.
Second, ABS lines have to deal with different pressures during ABS assisted stops so they are actually higher pressure. Also there are a couple extra lines on the ABS pump than just a regular straight MC to wheel connection. There are ways of changing your ABS to non-ABS that I have read about and that I have researched. I just simply pulled the fuse and relay on the ABS system to disable it since it wasn't working anyway and the pump was too costly to replace.
