just go quoted 1400 for the top of the line extended warranty to 100k miles and another 4 years. My 07 explorer's stock warranty is up in january, do you think it is worth it? When using the 4wd in reverse the front end make some interesting noise so this will ease all concerns with that. what do others think?
(Sidenote: I wont be fixing anything myself should it break)

Yes

:thumbsup:I had it on my 1998 Explorer xlt. It paid for a new front end (rack and pinion) A new radio, tie rod ends and one or two other things. Each time they gave me a loaner car. I put 150k on the car before I gave it to one of our sons.

I placed the same coverage on my 2008 Limited. With the electronics, auto running boards, etc. It is good peace of mind.

I would do it. My X's dont have any extended and I kinda wish they did. My 06 Mustang does and it has saved my keister a couple of times with the way I drive it.

$1400 doesn't seem too bad at all... I definitely say go for it. Doesn't take too many repairs to add up to over $1400 in a hurry... several "single" repairs are more than that.
