Exterior door mirror

Can someone please guide me in putting on a new exterior driver side mirror on a 1997 Explorer...Thanks for your time....Rags

you need to remove the inside trim panel, all botls will be accessible through the inside of the door

11mm socket with a three inch extension
pannel popper would be helpful.
