you will have to buy a line out converter to tap into the speaker wires. that will convert the speaker output into RCAs that can be fed into your amp. some amps have high level inputs and that eliminates the need for a LOC.
What are the colors for the wires that you cut into to hook up the converter on the back of the stock headunit??? and which wire do you connect the remote wire to for the amp?
cool , thanks. i had a cheap cd player laying around but its 180 watts ,its a dual brand. anyway went to wallyworld to get the adapter to install it cause i had mounting kit from doing my 93 xlt .so i get the part, wire it up and go to plug it in and the speaker plug wont fit, i know should have the plugs first but the were 4 plugs since it covered alot of fords, withe jbl system looked like it was fine but only one worked i get power but no sound, lol.i should have known when i seen 5 packs that have been tape up and brought back of onle that style. anyway im wondering should i get the plug or the line out converter[quality of these any good?], cause i got the jbl premium with a 6 disk changer factory but its not the best changer skips pretty easy so i know itll be skipping in the woods.i was thinking of sticking the dual hu in till some cash comes and put some pad under it to make up the space difference and to cushion it. anyone have any suggestions. the alpine v 12 amp is hooked up and ready ole jls are ready and wired just waiting on some place to plug in rcas and remote. thanks, andy
