Factory Navigation System

My husband would like to install a Ford factory navigation system in his 02 Explorer.....can this be done with the systems in the 08 or 07

I don't know anything about this, but the navigation system in the 07/08 is probably made by a third party with a Ford label on it. What specifically is it about the 07/08 that you both prefer? I'll look at the model and see who the manufacturer is...

It appears the 05 was made by Pioneer, and the 07+ is made by Magellan.

i my self are not familiar with the navigation systems, but husband likes the look of them....what exactly do they do? are they just nav, or does it also do 6 cd player, radio, what else? audio video inputs, aux???? any link with the info would be great.

I will defer to the pros here... they know the ins and outs of these things. I'd like to get one too... they sound nice. Do you have a price range? That might help them out a little... thanks!

no price range in mind just doing research now.....looking for suggestions. i know when i bought a factory radio for my sport trac i got it online but having a hard time with nav thing....he likes the factory look of my dash, of course i didnt do the nav, but i have 6 disc mp3, sat, aux and i paid something like 250 for mine....so i would assume more then that for his nav thing.
