Is there a resource available that would list all of the paint colors (not necessarily paint codes) that were available for a 1994 Ford Explorer Sport?

The touch-up paint for mine says "Cayman".
I am just interested in how common (or uncommon) any particular color might have been.

Thanks for the paint color info. Mine is a Cayman Green Clearcoat Metallic then. The touch-up paint says "Cayman" on it.

The "Tan" color, I would guess, would be "Mocha Frost Clearcoat Metallic"..

Cripes! "Mocha Frost"? Semantics apparently are important to the people who make these color names up... Dead Link Removed

I guess they are trying to sell the names...they think "Mocha Frost" sounds better than "Tan"..."Raven" is better than "Black" etc. etc.

Mocha Frost sounds like a fancy kind of hot chocolate to me. ehehe. I would just prefer they say, "tan".

My '99 is Medium Platinum Clearcoat Metallic. My wife says- looks grey to me Dead Link Removed

Where I live, Mocha Frost is also known as DNR (Department of Natural Resources) Beige

What does clearcoat metallic mean? does it just mean that the clearcoat is going to reflect a little more. Just wondering because I have the oxford white and it doesn't have the clearcoat metallic.

Anyone have the Colors for a 95 Sport Only green shades! Thanks!

Damn, my 1st truck and I've had it for 4yrs scince I was 16 and I never knew the color, I just thought it was good ol' tan:rolleyes:, but I guess the real color is Mocha Frost Clearcoat Metallic:confused:. I would love to see someones reaction if they asked me what color it was and told them it's Mocha Frost Clearcoat Metallic, makes me want to go to Arby's for a mocha.:D Every manufacturer has crazy/wack names for their paint, why do they do that? To sound fancy? it confuses people even more when they see a definition inpace of a color like red;)

ya i know what you mean. my dad had an expedition and its colour was called spruce green. looked like silver with a touch of green in it. im yet to see a spruce tree that colour to this day.

The metallic part means that is has small flakes, that the clearcoat is covering, and in the sun reflects like small glitter.

My color for my 2000 Sport is "Deep Wedgewood Blue" clearcoat metallic with Medium Platinum Metallic clearcoat trim.

What the hell is a "Wedgewood"?
