..I would check with the place you buy the material from..
..Metallic paint is usually pre mixed but depending on how you apply touch up, and what you are using as touch up, should be referenced per manuf. spec's and install instructions..
...Since this is a thread on color codes solely, I would suggest starting a thread in this section you are in, "Body Work & Detailing", so all that do bodywork could find it easily and offer answers and information to assist you on your question..
let ask that question alittle different.is the ford stock color an enamel or lacquer?i know you cant spray lacquer over a enamel paint but can spray enamel over lacquer.from what im getting is that ford used a one part enamel on my 92 yz paint and dulpicolor sells touch up paint but its all lacquer,so why the hell do they sell lacquer based paint as a touch up when most cars are enamel?
Technical? ? Figured a simple its enamel or lacquer comment would be pretty simple and useful for anyone else wonding what type of paint ford used with its paint codes.but ok feel free to delete my post and ill start my own thread.
The color for the Rangers that have painted bumpers and the plastic fender wheel opening covers. Some of the grey color on the front bumper is chipped and starting to rust and some of fender opening covers are faded and it needs to be touched up. Can't find the grey color code.
Insead of painting the bumpers of the Rangers the factory grey color, look into having the bumpers hot-dipped galvanized. Won't ever have an issue with the bumpers in the remaining lifetime of the truck.
Thank you so much, been looking for the color of the trim on my Eddie Bauer for a while now. guys at the parts store wanted $20 a 16 oz. can just to "Match it".
