We have a 95 XLT with the premium cassette sound system but wanted to know if there was a Ford combo cd/tape unit that would replace it if available.

Any help would be appreciated since I didn't find a specific thread for this question.

Why not replace it with a much better quality aftermarker unit?

I agree with aldive, buy an aftermarket, but if you want a OEM, you can find the info you are looking for here: Dead Link Removed

ford definatly isnt in the stereo bussines get an after market one works better and cheaper

I found a stock Accord 99-02 cd/tape combo unit for the 'family' van to replace the standard cassette unit in our Odyssey. This so we can use cd's for the kids along with tapes from the library to keep them entertained (read quite). It has the same 20 pin plug and no amp and I wanted to see if that capability was available for the Ford rig.

if you want the original ford one, I have a tape/cd combo from a 2000 that I can sell you for $115 shipped. It is in great condition, looks and works mint. never skipped yet.

If you want, I also have the 6 disc changer to go with it for $200 shipped for both.

Hey Visteon has a newer head unit that will look stock and it is an MP3 player. Its a little expensive but it looks cool.
