i'v heard some people say after it has been shipped it will not play cds. this is what i'v read n other boards.
the internals are fragile that is why they dont play after being shipped.
hopefully it will work for ya. are at least the insurance on it will cover it.

yes, those units are VERY fragile. Trust me, I know because I found out the hard way. I had won a unit on Ebay, and paid around $200 for it, and when I got it, the CD mechanism wasn't working, as it wouldn't let me insert any CD's. I called FedEx, and because the package was unharmed, insurance would NOT cover it. So I am stuck with a broken head unit right now
