Factory running board question.

Hi;
I have a 1994 Eddie Bauer X without the running boards and just the lower body cladding. Due to my little kids I picked up a set of 1996 running boards (factory) (at least he seller says they're from a 96.) Will they bolt right up after I take off the rocker panel cladding?

The 94 and 96 are completely different body styles. I'm betting they won't fit.

actually a guy on here bolted up some 2 gen running boards to his 1gen and i dont recall him having any problems. the only exterior diff between the 1 and early 2 gens(95-97) i believe is just the front end. boards should bolt right up.

If you have some free time, go to a junkyard and find a Gen 1 and a Gen 2 and take a look at where the running boards are attached, take measurements and compare.
