ok, so i've had my subs installed to my factory system for a month or so. i had a few problems(http://www.explorerforum.com/forums//showthread.php?t=215149), and the wonderful people on this site help me fix it. but the problem now doesn't make any sense at all to me. all i've done since they've been installed is i've installed an aux. input for my ipod, which goes straight from the factory cd changer port, and they were still working after that install, although i hadn't actually tested the aux. out to make sure it was working. so then i wanted to focus on the turn on 'pop' and getting that to go away. so i bought a tr-4 remote turn on made by PAC. now they were working before i installed this and also at the same time i was installing it before i could test them out, i was mowing the yard, and a rock shot up and shattered my back windshield. i wouldn't think that the remote turn on or the windshield would have any effect whatsoever on the speakers, but these are the only two factors that have changed. by any chance have i maybe shorted something out with the remote turn on? or maybe this is something that would have nothing to do with any of these circumstances, which is what i'd think, but then i have no idea what happened..
wow.. bite my tongue on this one... i posted way too soon without testing, my bad everyone, but it was because the battery was dead. i guess, i was still getting enough power to the subs for some reason, but i couldn't get enough power to get the speakers to work.. weird. as soon as i jumped it, the speakers worked. i bet what happened is since the window was broken, it thought it was open which made the lights stay on to drain the battery, but i thought they went off after some time..
also, the remote turn on thing doesn't take care of turn OFF pop.. which is weird
