Factory Upgrade Question

I have a 97 xlt with the factory radio/cassete player with a factory 6 disk changer (located in the center console)

I was curious if it is possible to buy an aftermarket head unit, preferably pioneer, and still be able to control the factory 6 disk changer. Have any of you ever done this or heard of anyone doing this? Any info would be helpfull!

Also, does anyone know how the radio controls on the rear of the center console can be intergrated into an aftermarket cd player?

yes, i understand that if you buy an aftermarket head unit you can still control your changer...i had one but decided not to do it, but at least you know now to look into hooking it up. you probobly use the radio preset buttons to control it.
