faded paint

my paint isnt that faded but its started to go. what can i do to make it shiny again? i tried compounding it, but it didnt help that much. be specific please!

sounds familiar.. my paint is not looking too hot, I've been trying lots of things to try and help it out. If I were you I'd take yer truck to a detail shop and see if any of their methods would help, butr thats just me, I usuallyu seek the "Expertise" of others before trying someting myself.

if yo udont want to spend that money, I'd try a claybar, and waxing, and a guy told me today.. something called "cutting" I've never heard of it.. but, its something to look into I suppose

how exactly do clay bars work, ive never tried them before

THey usually come a spray type lube that used use and keep using linear motions until the "path" is smooth and the bar stops "gripping". Knead the clay and repeat until finished.
