hi
i've got a 5.0 with the 5spd and 4406 swap. after i did the swap almost a year ago i've noticed the power doesnt seem to be where the old engine that had low compression on cyl number 8 and the auto. i havent gotten it untill now because i've been busy working on and driving on my other cars
what supprized me was when i took it out for a drive with a ford IDS scan tool and it was only advanced 15degrees at WOT, seems to me thats not nearly enough. The PCM no idea what range it thinks the transmission is in, and this i'm thinking is what is effecting the timing.
anyone have any ideas if the range will effect the timing advance at WOT and other load conditions
