I'm taking my Flex a lite fan off and putting my stock fan on my truck because I'm trading it in this weekend. I didn't remove the fan myself when I did the supercharger install because I had problems and was pissed off so I didn't even watch. I know I need a special Ford fan wrench to remove it, but how much does it cost? Also, how do I keep the pump pulley from moving in order to remove the fan? Isn't the thread backwards also? So instead of pushing to the left to remove it, I'd need to push to the right?

It's easy as hell IF you can get the correct wrenches. When I just did my Mountaineer, I had two different fan removal tool kits. One wrench worked from one of them, and I had to buy a wrench for the second part. In theory it's easy. There's a large piece of 1/4" that fits over your four pully bolt heads and holds them in place. Then the second wrench is used on the shaft nut.

Peps, 16 bux, the set autozone loans usualy will not fit

Yeah, I did AutoZone.

If you can get the correct large wrench that spans the 4 bolts, you can use a large cresent wrench on the smaller one

You're trading your truck in! Why!?!

380 hp :D

Spindle or section, I see what you're saying about the tool to hold the four bolts, but what about the wrench to turn it. Is it available in the same kit at Pep boys?

Well its 16 for a new one, how much could a loaner be?

Free.

I can't see paying for a tool that hopefully you will never use again.
