ok here it is...
today i replaced the fan speed switch, it was bad. i also replaced the connector, mostly cause the connector had taken some heat. (junkyard part) everything is wired absolutely perfect. however my problem continues from before i needed a switch. The fan (for heat and ac) works whenever it feels like it..the switxh is good, the fan speed resistor (attached to blower box n engne comp) is new from dealer. yet the fan blows when t feels like it.

Did you check the fuses in the power distribution box?

yup all good under dash and in the power box. no other fuses that i know of to check...
should i call a preist to exercise my truck???

you check relays?? just swap one for one in the box and see if it makes a difference

which relay controls the fan blower for the heater???

BUMP...still need help here if anyone has any ideas...

I have have a problem kinda like that. I have a 2000 EB with the climate control. The AC Clutch locked up, and the fan will only work on high. I replaced the AC clutch, but can't figure out the fan. Sometimes it works correctly, but 98% of the time its high fan, or no fan. If anyone knows what this might be... please let me know!!!

JT, your problem is most likely a blown resistor. When it goes, the fan blows hi only. Search for Fan Resistor and you should find threads with descriptions of where it is and how to test and replace.

I'd bet my lunch money it's the fan relay under the hood in the distrubition box. It's right next to the airbox. Lift up the lid the relay will be labeled on the cover. I had the same probelm as you I repalced everything before that & that was what worked. A new relay is about $9 from ford.

You can test it out. Here's how...

Right next to the fan relay is another one. This one(forgot what it's labeled) shuts the compressor off when you go WOT. Just swap it with the fan relay. Drive around for a while, if your problem is gone, there's you answer. This is how I tested it.
