Hi,

I'm having a problem with a fast idle condition (1,500-2,500) when shifting. I have a new IAC valve and the linkage is not sticking. It idles normal (when warm) if I unhook the IAC valve wires. Is there a manual trans specific IAC valve?

Thanks for looking,
SMC

Do you have a check engine light?

Why? A stored DTC right now might tell you exactly whats wrong.
I would try pulling the codes.

I have a programmer/reader but all it says is an oxygen sensor code. Maybe a bad throttle position sensor?

Maybe an 02 sensor? Dont ignore OBD-II codes.

all these sensors can be tested instead of throwing $$$ at it.

I was getting a slow response code for the 02 sensors so I changed them. It didn't help much. I unplugged the TPS and didn't notice any difference in idle, should I have?
If I drive it until it gets warm them shut it off and start it back up the problem stops until it gets cold again.
