I have a 96 XLT with a 4.0 V-6.
On initial morning startup the idle seems high.
After I turn the key the engine will stabilize
at about 1800 to 2000 RPM.
A few minutes later it will slow down to
normal idle speed.
After the first start up of the day the idle seems fine.
Morning temperatures are in the 30 to 40's
