Fenders Questions

Are the Ford Exloprer 97-01 and Mercury Mountaineer 97-01 Fenders the same? I have checked an aftermarket site and they seem to have the same part numbers. I know in 98 Mercury Mountaineers got the new headlights and signals and the explorer kept its same lights from 97 but the fenders seem to have stayed the same. Im really trying to figure out if the 98-01 Mercury Mountaineer header panel will mount to the 97-01 Explorer fenders. Does anyone know if these parts (fenders) are all the same. It seems to be that way. Anyone have any ideas?

yeh their exactly the same. I drive a 00 mounty, and i got fiberglass fenders that are for a explorer.
