04 Explorer EB
Well after searching for months..I finally found one and got it yesterday....04 Explorer EB with 50,000 miles on it I got it for a decent price since it was sitting on the dealer lot for 40days....:) Almost lost this one...guy came in a put down a deposit but couldn't get a lender....after that the X was all mines......Here are some pictures...I will take some better ones later on

After getting home...I realized that the manual isn't in the glove box....I can just download one or even purchase one from online..but how do I find the keycode for the door? Anyone know an easy way of getting the keycode without taking apart something in vehicle? Or would it be better to give Ford a call?

nice x u got there u plan on doing mods to it

how much did u get it for

I'm not sure if im going to do any mods yet..the 99 XLT I had before, I just raised it up a few inches......but if I do anything to this one....I will be hiring someone to do this...I am not that crafty to do mod myself:rolleyes:

I paid 12k OTD....I think 50,000 is pretty good and in good condition too.

Also would anyone know if the Stant Locking Fuel Cap will work on this vehicle? I fitted the Stant Fuel Cap I have it seems to fit fine, but i am thinkin if I will get one of those lights on the dash for loose gas cap or something? Would it be better to get one from Ford?

for 12k and 50k miles that looks like in mint conditon good job on the find

Nice looking truck, I hope it brings you many years of good service.

Sweet ride! Nice job landing it! OK enough of the accolades, lol. Let's get on to the good stuff:

Check out this thread for locating the security module, thanks to Welli for a great write-up!!: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=246957&highlight=entry+code

Hope this helps out!

Congrats on the new Explorer. That's a gem of a find you get there for a great deal. We paid 10k for our 02 3 years ago and it had 73k miles.
Congrats!

Nice looking rig there! Congratulations on your purchase. I've been superexcited with my Explorer since I got it in early May, just 2-3 months ago.

Hey, do you have the V6 or V8 or do Eddie Bauer's only come in one engine choice? What gearing and hitch package do they come with too? I'm also curious of what other extra items you get vs. a standard XLT.

Eddies come in 2 engine choices, if I am thinkin correctly the Limited one has one which is the v8. This one I purchase comes with a v6 with Class II trailer towing w/receiver hitch, moon roof, parking sensors, 3rd row seating, tire pressure system, message center, 4 wheel drive(gonna need it with all this snow we have Upstate), leather seats, 6 disc cd changer

All Explorers except for the XLS come with V6 or V8

code is on control box behind rt.rear door pillar.remove plastic trim w/rear shoulder belt retractor.its on a little rectangler sticker
