just a couple of Q's

1. i got all the body mounts in except the front passenger side. will it be safe to test drive it without it.

2. the hose i put between the air condition hose and the belt is getting shaved off. i plan to fix this problem by using tie's to clip the air condition hose to the radiator hose next to it. do you think that will be alright.

thanks for you help

The zipties should be fine. As long as you didn't already damage the line too much. As far as driving around without the block in.... I dunno man. Can you just ziptie it in for now or something? You wouldn't want to tweak your fender or anything. I doubt it would hurt anything.. but theres always that chance.

the problem is that i just can't seem to get that last bolt off because the whole bushing is moving with the bolt. i have tried vise grips, more lube but nothing seems to work. got any ideas

Have you tried HEAT? My front drivers was a pain in the ass. Those front mounts just suck. Heat, cutting wheel, sawzall... grinding wheel.. explosives..

Have any of that stuff?

finally got the bolt off. i am still concerned about the air condtion hose, i have toed it back with the ties but when i start my ex the belt seems to still hit it and then when i am at idle i can fell when the belt hits the air condition hose. should i be worried. what do you think could essentially happen orver time to the hose and/or belt. did you have any problems with this.

i appreciate your input

If its rubbing against the AC hose, then for God sakes don't run the motor. If that hose is cut by the belt, it'll cost you $600 to get your AC system redone.

i'll go take a pic of what i did with mine....

This must be a V6 thing. :D

i used one of those pipe brackets that you normall use to secure a pipe against a wall. i just bent it so the two ends were close together. then i just put it around the hose, pulled it away from the belt and tied it off to the frame in a spot where it wouldn't move. i used plain bailing wire as well as some thin cable with a cable clamp to tighten it. i have about 1/2" clearance in there. used something like this rather than simply tying if off because i didn't want to put a kink in the hose and this doesn't do that. its worked so far!!

I just took hold of the metal part of the line and bent it down and over far enough for the hose not to hit anymore.
