Well it's done. Not as easy as they make it sound. First on the 95 + Ex's you have to remove the hole front axel from the truck. Took me bout an hour. Then the fun stuff. Soon as I get the cover off, I see someone has regeared my Ex, I no longer have 3:77's. Not sure what I have now, but the ring gear covers the pion shaft. So now the whole carrier has to come out , and Ring gear has to be taken off, which means the drive shafts have to come out, and the shift fork taken out. But all and all , it went well, and seems to be doing just fine. Locked her in , and on the snow , both wheels spin now. Now , I did this on my buddies lift, would really be a pain with out a lift.

Hey, that's great! Are you the first one to do this? Is it a selectable locker, or automatic? Keep us up to date on how it works on the trail and around town.

I don't believe I am the first to do it, maybe on a 95 + Explorer, but I doubt it. It works awsome, got stuck in the drive way in 2 wheel drive today ( we got a ton of snowif ya haven't seen the news ) and I could really tell a difference in traction, just walked her right out. It is a automatic locker. Go to www.powertrax.com

That's what I meant, that you're the first 95+ as far as I know to have a locker in the front (assuming that a SAS hasn't been done). I recently saw an article in some 4x4 magazine that put one in a new tacoma (with IFS). I have a 98 with the auto 4x4, so I don't think it would work for me unless I disabled the auto part.

I took mine out because I had problems with it not retaining axles on a 2002 truck. I am not sure why, but the splines on the No-Slip don't have a relief to capture the snap ring. I did love it when it worked though, but it isn't doing anything but sitting on my workbench right now. I don't know of anyone else who has had this problem, it may be because mine is lifted, but i am not sure.

Yep, I never installed mine and returned it. I am waiting to see if that German selectable locker comes out in the next few months.

Wade, check your PM. If I can't get that Killeraxle dude to make one for us, I want yours.

Just remember, with the full Detroit and ARB lockers, and maybe with the German Locker, the whole Differencial needs redone, and the ring and pion gears need rebalanced, not for the average Joe for sure.

gerald.. have you been keeping in contact with them? i was going to call again and get an update but i haven't yet.
