I cant' help much on the Firestone LE's, but I had some Bridgestone Dueler HL's on a Tacoma. Best tires I've ever owned in 30 years of driving. They are basicly the same tire. I will put them on my Ex when the factory tires wear out.
Just put a set of Firestone Destination LE's (31x10.5x15-stock teardrop rims) on my 1998 XLT 5.0 AWD. Yeah, I took a chance with Firestones, but they seem to get great reviews at tire rack, and were inexpensive.
Only have about 100 miles on 'em, but so far so good. Playing with the tire pressure right now. Very quiet, handle OK (running 33psi right now). They look great on the XLT...looks beefy, and fills up the wheelwell nice...oh, and no rubbing at all. Nice tread pattern too!! I do mostly all on-road driving.
I'll update this thread as I put some miles on 'em.
the firestone le's actually have a lot more technology in them then the dulers beleive it or not... the reason is bridgestone has a tried and trued dueler.. however, firestone has had to prove that they are back on par and up to kicking ass out of other tire manufactures
It's up to you, within reason ...on the road, the higher, the stiffer the ride, but slightly better mileage/load capacity...lower gives you a smoother ride, but a little less mileage/less load capacity.
I would try around 32 and see what you think :smoke:
