firestone tire recall - can you change tire size

like many others i will be swapping in my firestones soon. has anyone tried to swap in 15" tires and get 16 or 17 instead? i am guessing ford will give me trouble, but i was thinking of getting some bigger rims & tires anyway. i know ford has set price caps on different tires ($120 for 15's i think). can i put that towards 16 inchers???

if you have 15s why would you want 16s? 16 is way more $ when trying to find tires than is a comparable hieght 15

if i spend money on buying replacement rims, then the bigger the rims the better. basically, i just think they look better.

YUP YuP. Ford paid for my 33's no questions asked. All they needed was the original receipt.

That's right, just bring them the reciepts and the old tires and you pay the difference after they give you the check for the tires. Ford has bought me 2 sets of BFGs and i've still got a set under the porch that are on recall, so i'm set!!
