Besides the ones that explode from the decautur plant, what else sucks about firestones? I haven't had any problems with them. I just bought 2 new ones.

I had the infamous Radial ATXs on my Explorer for about 90,000 miles without any problems and the Firehawk ATX for another 20,000 without problems. However I certainly appreciated Firestone purchasing 5 BFG A/Ts for me.

why??

how come firestone bought u th A/T s Blaine??

Other than the ones that blow out, I havent heard anything else bad about the other Firestone tires. The company has been around for quite a while, but those recalls really kill them. I dont anticipate any more recalls from Bridgestone/Firestone in the future. They should have learned their lesson by now and wont let anything like these past 2 recalls happen again, it costs them way too much to fix.

They did buy us 4 BFG AT's though.

Well, according to the Firestone Dealer, its not the Firestone Tires fault, it was the design of the Explorers. According to how he talked, Firestones are the only good tire on this planet. Firestone is not at fault in any way. Its just coincidence that it was only Firestones that blew out. Just a very strange coincidence.

YEAH RIGHT!!!!!

Thats why they had to recall some of the heavy duty ones, and then some passenger tires. I'm probably sure its the design of the affected vehicles and not the tires.

the reason they bought him 5 a/ts was because he had the recalled one and decided to upgrade. the deal was get firestone or equivalent sized any brand and they would reimburse you up to 100 dollars a tire. if you got firestones from a dealer then they just slapped new ones on with no initial out of pocket cost
