Also, I got mine today and installed them. I do have to say that they look awesome. I always hated how the back of my ex looked, but now it looks great. Its also great because I'v never seen anyone around my area with them.
Yeah me too. Iv never seen an explorer around my area with anything done to it. Mine is the only one around with clear corners, clear tails, and a billet grill.
so procarparts.com is ok? i want to redo all the fornt lights on my yota, and they offer clear corners, diamond or euro headlights some with halos and clear bumper turns.... then get me some weatherstripping and a bedbox and some herc... and my truck will be good forever..... also will need wax, and a slight lift and valve lash set, front main seal replaced, and fuel pump gasket replaced... new oring on the distributer too.... then tranny and rear end drain and fill it will last forever
Yeah procarparts.com is ok. I was kinda skepticle at first because of stories of people getting screwed by them, but I guess they are getting better. Heck, I'll say they are great, considering I got my new clear tails from them.
well i'm glad i could be your guinnea pig. i just got done putting strobes in one of the tail lights and i'm going to wait till tomorrow to do the other one so i can have some daylight. i'm also switching my toggle switch with a nicer one for all five strobe connections.
mohog, Let me know how installing those strobes goes. I was also thinking of putting some in my tail lights. I replaced the brake/signal bulbs with some red LED bulbs that I got at champion auto, so I shouldn't have any trouble with getting pulled over for the lights.
Later,
Andy
I just finished doing the strobes. i already have 3 sets in the headlights so hooking up two more was pretty easy. you just drill a 1/2" hole or two in the back of the tail lights. i stuck one strobe box to the 4-channel amp rack and the other to where the jack used to go. then i grounded the negative by drilling a hole through a piece of metal above where the jack goes and running both grounds to that. then ran the positives all the way up to my current toggle switch. if you don't have a toggle already then you have to run a wire to a fuse (15 amp max) or the + battery terminal and connect that to the positive side of the toggle. the positive wire from the strobe box goes to the other side of the toggle. my switch also has to be grounded out because it lights up but yours may not if you use the one that comes with the strobes. tell me how it goes.
