Hi All. I'm a big fan of the first gen Explorers. I've wanted one for a LONG time but until now I haven't had the ability (time, money, space to work) to obtain and restore one. Right now I'm in the information gathering stage and hope to start looking to buy in November. I'm looking forward to this. Cheers, -Drew :us:

Welcome to the forum Drew. I look forward to seeing what you come up with :chug:

Hello and welcome to the forums. You surely came to the right place to find more info about the explorer.

Welcome! Howdy from the Sin City!

You'll have a blast with it!

Tons of room to work with inside the engine bay and a relatively simple engine to work on. Get a 91-92 - even slightly simpler than 93-94. They're pretty torque-y in low range too. Physics and geometry will be important to consider when lifting and doing wheels and tires.
