I have been using my 2010 Eddie Bauer with the 1stGen Sync for the whole 5 years I've owned the truck with no problems. Specifically, I've paired my Samsung Galaxy J7 to it. It has been cool to be able to listen pandora and youtube and such. A few days ago, my phone started acting up. So I took it in to my local MetroPCS where the clerk deleted my cache, and then my data in two areas of my phone. That did not solve the problem, and I bought a new one (Galaxy A03s). Ever since that first deletion of data and cache, I can not pair my old phone. My old phone asks for the pin, but the head unit does not display a pin. But the bigger issue is, the new phone can not be found by Sync.
I make sure my Bluetooth on my new phone is on (I know it works because I have paired it with a set of Bluetooth speakers)
I push voice button
"Line in, please say a command."
"Bluetooth audio"
"There is not Bluetooth device. I will try and find one."
And then it never finds my new phone.
Is this a compatibility issue where my new phone is TOO new, and the protocols don't "Sync" so to speak?
