Hi All,
First let me say I've been spectating since i got my ex and have learned a lot from all of you, Thanks.
Second let me say that Ford did an excellent job designing this truck, it looks good inside and out in pictures and in person. Anyone thats been in my ex was in shock, they were that impressed with the interior and I haven't had so many looks since I had a BMW. To me its new and different, that really swayed me to get it.
I got an XLT with most of what I wanted, I especially like the power lift-gate, BLIS and the best car gadget of all time the backup camera. I have the 20's and the ride seems to be getting a little harsher since I first got it but overall it feels smooth and planted which to me is the most important thing. Acceleration is good and the brakes are great, I never worry about it stopping when I need it to. I'm not used to such a big vehicle but after a couple of weeks I forgot all about it. So far no major complaints.
Now we come to the quips, the ride is quiet till I get to 70 MPH on the highway (wind noise). Yes, I hear plinko noises when it rains sometimes. I floored it once to pass someone on the highway and it bit back.
My MFT has been good as far as what I've seen can go wrong here, I have 2.8 and wont take a chance with 2.11 since everything works, the only issue I had was with my old iPod nano I was going to leave in the car but MFT didn't like it to much. The biggest complaint I have with MFT is how complex some tasks can be, it should all be intuitive and easy. The Nav is good but I miss my Garmin.
I'm very happy with my Explorer so far.
Thanks
