Hi I am sam and I live in reading, pa. I have a 2002 explorer 4.0 eddie bauer. It has been sitting for 2 years. I just put in a new fuel pump and it started right up. The reason it was sitting is that I have a tapping, pinging sound. As the engine accellorates so does the pinging. My question is how many tensioner are one a 2002 engine and where are they.
Also, after sitting for 2 years the transmission seem to be stuck in high gear. maybe something got disconnected when I dropped the gas tank??
