- 1995 Explorer XLT 4x4
I posted this on the new members page by accident.
Just picked up a 95 2 door explorer 4x4 xlt this past weekend. It is in surprisingly good shape and was a 1 owner. It is currently sitting on 31's. The guy says he has done the tt already but does not know how far he raised it. Is there a sure fire way to guesstimate that? I want to see if I can go up any more without putting the cv's in a bind.
It also had longer shackles on it as well but I have measured them vs some of the ones on this forum and I know I can go longer there. I will fabricate those myself and I also have an add a leaf laying around.
The next question is body lift, I will be fabricating this myself as well. I know I need to build the steering extension but what about the shifter does it need an extension as well? If so what are you guys using?
I want it sitting comfortably on 33's. I don't have hardly anything tied up in this right now and plan on trying to keep it that way. I have pretty much all the machinery and tools at my disposal. After I get the suspension and tires worked out I'm going to try my hand on building bumpers.
