Not for my Explorer, but for my Mom's 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I had to replace the negative battery terminal because it was cracked and could not be tightened anymore. There were 2 cables going into the original molded factory terminal. So I purchased a standard replacement terminal, cut off the old terminal, stripped the cables, and clamped down on both cables one on top of the other. They are tight and not going anywhere for now, but is there a better terminal for this application? It seems most of the battery terminals they sell are mostly for 1 cable. I did buy the Heavy Duty terminal, but that was actually too big, the cables slipped out, so I returned it and got the standard one.
