When: June 9
Where: Cinders OHV Area Flagstaff, AZ - Map to come
Why: Light wheelin', meetin', and eatin'!

I'll draw up a map for the meet, and post it soon. We'll be bringing our camper and the Explorer on a trailer.

Trails are for the most part are very easy. The hill climbs are the challenge, and they definitely challenge the Explorer's V6.

Make sure your cooling system is in good order, and if you have an air compressor bring it, as we need to air down.

Also, bring plenty of water, food for lunch on the trail etc. Temps are usually pretty good, but the sun beats down HARD at the 7000'+ altitude.

Sounds great. When? I have a few pounds(12) of elk burger that can be cooked up, for those that would eat it.:salute:

awesome, when where? Hopfully my explorer will make it down there, maybe we can have a 8.8 gear changing party too, haha j/k

Depending on when, we might be up for it. Also, we need to get started planning a cinder hills run!

You bet Steven, I was just thinking about that!

Anyway, if we just do a meet and greet with no run, we can do it here at my place. We're halfway between Surprise and Wickenburg on US60.

The Cinders up in Flag would be a great place to have a run, and BBQ, too.

Our schedule is wide open so any suggestions would be great.

I cant seem to think that more have not responded to this thread yet. Its just crazy. I wish it was a meet and greet in TN. Good Luck!

hey rick def sounds great i also have about 10 pounds of white tail deer from kentucky for thoose who would be up for the eating and it would be a good time to look over your explorer and have you give me some pointers about how to get started on the SAS on the Ranger

Depending on the time, I think That I will come down and meet some of the members finally! Maybe some other guys from Co would like to ethier get a few cars together and drive down, or even get together and ride down in one car. Would this be before or after the Colorado run...need to get a time set out for that if that is still going to happen.

Well, Memorial Day is probably too short of notice, but how about the week after? And which would you be up for? A get together at the house, or a run in Flagstaff?

Maybe you could host/or start a meet an greet thread for the guys in TN Burns.

A run in Flagstaff would be sweet! (i live there). Is there any other board members from Flag?

I think we should do both this summer.

Yeah, it sucks, they've been trying to get a Kansas city meet going for a couple of months now on the local forum, and no one will make any decisions.

Ok, How about June 9-10 at the Cinders??

Saturdays work for me.. BBQ or BBQ+Run or just Run is fine with me.. and June 9th is good..

As far as a BBQ, that's fine with me. Saturday night BBQ is good, or we could go out to Horsemen Lodge http://www.horsemenlodge.com/ which is right down the road and very good.

I just retitled this thread and changed my first post to reflect our plans.

Here is a some additional info:
