It's a 67 f-100 custom, originally ordered by the Monroe township fire dept. where it served as a grass rig for about 10 years.. then taken to a farm by the then assistant state fire marshall where it was used for farm duty for a while, but the front end got bad and it was left in a field till I "rescued" it. for $100... it looked like hell too... not a straight section of the body more than a foot long anywhere, that was in 1990, my son and I beat, pounded, cussed and finally got it to the show that fall, the only non original panel is the hood, we fixed everything else, .... and the pipes are 10" in diameter and 37" long, also there are 2 subs in there, 15" solo-barics, one is in the center console, it has a total of 12 speakers in the cab and did 144.3 at the only DB drag we have put it in....you know guys, I'm pretty proud of this truck for what it is, but moreso for why it is, my kids and I built this, not one other person has ever worked on it, just us... we did the frame in an old barn at my uncles but everything else was done outside as we never had a garage, the tilt front was done outside at work .... and they paid me to do it... all the kustom stuff I did myself in my yard.........when I started with the shows back in 79, most everyone did their own stuff, but I have noticed over the years that more and more people are just buying stuff and slapping it on or paying others to do the work for them... this bothers me... see the essence of Hot Rodding has always been in doing it yourself, and the pride involved in showing that work to the world, sure there are many that still do their own, but they are dwindling... I love the Rat rods because of this, they may not be pretty, but they are cool and for the most part done at home by their own 2 hands... I like this site too, it allows those of you who want to do their own ,a way, with sources of knowledge that have done it themselves and who are willing to share those successes and failures...and that's a good thing.. keeps our hobby alive!....... and here is my other "toy"...

Nice.
And your right about keeping the hobby alive. Some people wonder why I put so muchmoney in an old explorer! Its cause its fun and I love it. Way too many people will just spend all there money buyin a 2 foot high spoiler for some Honda or buying a tahoe and putin the same crap on it as every other idiot in the city. Now I got nothin against ricers, I want a 350z so bad I can almost taste it, and I don't entirley hate tahoe's as long as they acually make it UNIQUE! But hardly anybody has any imagination anymore.

I'm still having trouble finding fittings and stuff. I found some hose I like but hooking it up is gonna be the trick. And I have to split it between two pipes.

I was thinking about plumbing it with copper but would it hold up to the temp?
