Ive been driving my sister-in-law's explorer lately and the 4wd and 4wd low lights have been flashing. The switch is in auto. She wants it fixed, she just doesnt want to get ripped off doing so. Just found this forum and hoping you all can help. Thanks.

I'd guess bad shift motor or speed sensors on the transfer case.
Had the same issue and those were the causes.

Count the number of flashes - the sequence of the flashes is the code that describes the problem.....

Sorry it took me so long to reply. The 4wd and 4wd low lights flash six times. Any idea what that means?

Speed sensors, Which are located on the transfer case. Held in with one bolt each. BE careful you should probably drain the case before pulling thm out and cleaning them
