Flashing O/D light with codes.

New to the forum and really like all the detailed instructions and sharing of ideas.

Here's my problem:

2002 F Explorer, OD light started to flash, code 735 (incorrect 5th gear ratio) and code 775 (pressure control solenoid B). Car still drives OK but I've taken the OD off for now.

Can I still drive the car, or is it doing more harm to the tranny? I'm going to have looked at a shop next week.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your post into its own thread with a new title in the EEC-V section. Don't continue to drive it this way. These transmissions have issues with the solenoid blocks & servo bores. Check the bands to see if they are broken by adjusting them with a torque wrench.

So does it mean a new tranny or a rebuilt tranny?

Only if the band is broken. Try to adjust it first.
