Flashing OD-- how much time to replace TCC?

Thoroughly forums on this problem. --PO741
My wife is out of state on vacation and having this problem. Normally I would do the repair or attempt at repair on the VB myself. I am going to instruct a trans shop to do a TCC and maybe EPC replacement in the hopes of solving it so she can come back home( 700 miles). I am wondering what is a fair amount of time to be charged for this job. I think parts will be around $200 or so.


Any other ideas??

Welcome to this forum! How many miles do you have on the vehicle? See if that shop is listed on WWW.ATRA.Com. You could check to see if they have any customer complaints. Shops always try to push for an entire rebuild instead of troubleshooting the cause of the problem first.

It has 126,662 miles. The shop is on the ATRA list. He is recommending a double check of TCC operation and so on.
My thought is I can get a working valve body with all solenoids to him for around $125.00, which is the approximate cost of a TCC at the shop. I don't want to waste a bunch of time and money if this may fix it.
