Yeah, it's been thought of. From what i hear they aren't that good offroad since they can unexpectently "unload" on you. If your making a show truck that'll just see rti ramps then they're ok.

oh, never mind then, i guess ill just stick with the carrior shackles.

I thought they were worse for the street than offroad, since they would be unloading in a situation like rounding a corner and hop the truck, possible rolling it over.

They had them on extreme 4X4 today. They were building a "cheap" flex jeep for the ramp. Front and rear lockers, SAS, the flex shackels, home made beadlocks, and new tires.

It climbed the ramp nicely, but I can't see it in the real world. They showed it wheeling before they messed with it (even airtime), but not afterward. They even took the tags off and said its strictly off-road now. That tell you anything?

they are fine on the road if you have the sway bar connected.... just dont go down a steep hill and hit the brakes... they will unload and double in length and then you go endo.

i was watching xtream 4x4 today thats wehre i got the idea. oo and the bead locks werent home made. they just bought cheap ones.

He had plain black rims and welded steel rings to them (A kit) in one of the shows today. He rattle canned the rings black as well. I thought it was the jeep.
