Floor tray removal.. help

Hey folks. I got one of those crappy base model floor consoles in my explorer with the nylon bag.. only I didn't get the bag at purchase. So I bought a full High Series floor console a few days ago and finally have it all cleaned up.

There is a small tray under the dash that I need to remove. It has 2 screws deep down in the base I cant figure out how to remove! Anyone know how to remove them and whats needed? Here is a pic of the tray I need to remove.

if your not gonna keep it, then just break it off, then remove the screws when its broken off.

Well yes.. I guess thats an option. I'd prefer to be able to get it off without damaging it though.

true, but you should use your Adrenolin and rip it off. lol, do you plan on selling it later, its only a peice of plastic, your replacing it, so you wont need it anymore, youll prolly just throw it away, or keep it and forget about it after a while.

lol.. yeah however I'm not 100% sure the High Series floor console is going to fit/install correctly. I have an 03 Sport and the High Series floor console is from a 1999 Explorer. I think I read that Any console from a 1995 through 2001 Explorer would fit in a 2003 Sport which is why we got it.

That said.. in case it doesn't fit I'd like to be able to reinstall the tray if this console does NOT fit.
