I bet you have a bit of a space between the top of the door and where it strikes right? I fixed mine somewhat by putting the old tow strap on the door, sandwhiching a 2x4 and also used a 2x6 between the lower portion of the door and then tugged on the door till the truck was coming off the jackstands and it honestly fixed it much nicer.

Yah I have some space in the top rear corner from the door bendin in...I'm quite confused on your technique tho...could you explain some more?
